Wizkid surprised fans with a new extended play titled Soundman Volume 1, after several months of announcing Made In Lagos album.
The release of the extended play was not expected at all from the singer as fans were anxiously waiting for Made In Lagos before the year ends. Even though we are still in the early stages of December, the release of the Soundman looks to make a case for the album to be probably pushed to next years.
Wizkid tapped a whole lot of talents with Jamaica’s reggae superstar, Chronixx appearing on the song – Jam, he worked with Kel-P (the producer who produced most of the songs on the African Giant album by Burna Boy) on Mine and Ease Your Mind.
He also worked with DJ Tunez (who happens to be his personal DJ) on Cover Me, Blaq Jerzee on Thankful and Blow, and London on Electric.

Additionally, he has an amazing year recording Brown Skin Girl with Beyoncé, Saint Jhn and Blue Ivy. The song was featured on The Lion King: The Gift album curated by Beyoncé, it became a global hit and a hashtag was generated by fans on twitter to praise melanin skin women, and encourage women to appreciate their natural beauty.
The excitement was carried into his Starboy Fest in London, where he brought out major acts like Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, Runtown, and the new kids on the block, including Naira Marley, Fireboy DML and more.
