It is that time of the year again, when Africa gets ready to celebrate its rich and glamorous tourism and this year the South African Tourism Minister, Thokozile Xasa, has taken 4th place as one of the top 100 women leaders in African Tourism.

The minister, who is one of the few female ministers in the continent, is part of the women that will be honoured at the Africa Travel 100 Women awards, taking place at the 13th AKWAABA African Market at Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island Lagos in September 2017. The event is the only one of its kind in West Africa. Lagos is the perfect place to host such an event owing to its rich culture, fast growing economy and colourful scenery.
